Today, Joseph, a father of six, spends another day in prison – where he faces a potential death sentence for a crime he never committed. IJM attorneys are standing up for him in court. Will you stand up for Joseph too? Send him a note of encouragement now.

Joseph has been held in Nairobi's Remand Prison since December 2010. When a riot broke out near the small shop he ran, Joseph walked outside to see what the commotion was. He was struck by a stray bullet, fired by police in an attempt to control the crowd.

The same police who accidently shot him later ordered him arrested, making the totally unfounded claim that Joseph had injured the police and stolen their weapons. He was charged with Robbery with Violence – a capital offense.

As he languishes in prison, IJM attorneys are fighting for his release. Will you send Joseph a note of encouragement as he waits for freedom?
