The Mission

The mission of International Justice Mission (IJM) is to protect people from violent forces of injustice by securing rescue and restoration for victims and ensuring public justice systems work for the poor.

The Need

IJM is seeking an experienced IT professional to provide information systems support to staff, as part of the Department of Information Services. The successful candidate will be an effective problem-solver, with at least one year experience providing technical support in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide help desk support for domestic and international users in a positive, compassionate and understanding manner;
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues including, but not limited to; Microsoft Windows XP and Vista operating systems, Microsoft Office 2007 with a focus on Outlook 2007 and OWA email issues, LAN/WAN connectivity, workstation and laptop hardware components and peripherals, and printing/fax issues;
  • Set up new user accounts on domain and phone system, including all group privileges assigned;
  • Procure, receive, and configure new desktop and laptop hardware and software;
  • Document IT related issues and processes;
  • Implement new processes and procedures to improve overall operational efficiency;
  • Coordinate multiple IT vendor accounts;
  • Set up presentation equipment as needed; and
  • Set up and maintain desktop software.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, with at least one year experience in systems administration; or any equivalent combination of education and experience providing IT support in a fast-paced, professional environment;
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot user and network problems;
  • Administrative capacity to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously to completion with minimal oversight;
  • Proven ability to effectively manage time according to changing priorities - both self-discovered and as directed;
  • Operational proficiencies in Windows XP Professional and Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 & 2003, and Internet Explorer.
