Lauren Weaver serves as the Vice President of Finance for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems.

Ms. Weaver received a B.S. in Accounting from George Mason University and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1991. As a CPA, she has provided 15 years of financial services including financial reporting, strategic analysis and budgeting, audit services, tax preparation and consultation, and financial counseling.

Previously, Ms. Weaver served as the Chief Financial Officer for Harrods Natural Resources, managing the financial operations of all off-shore mineral and energy exploration companies. She was responsible for the set up and maintenance of all financial components of international operations in Peru, Mongolia and Thailand. She also worked for Price Waterhouse, LLC providing auditing services to Federal agencies, nonprofit organizations and telecommunication companies. She was also the president and sole proprietor of Lauren P. Weaver, CPA where she provided financial services to corporations and individuals. Ms. Weaver served on the Board of Directors for GlobeXplorer, HJW GeoSpatial Inc., the MapFactory and the Financial Board for New Hope Church.

Ms. Weaver joined IJM in 2002. In her role as Vice President of Finance, she manages the financial operations including budgets, cash flows, asset management and internal controls for the organization, using her international expertise to manage the financial operations of IJM’s field offices around the world. Additionally, she sets financial policy, provides strategic planning, audit and tax compliance and financial reporting to the president, government agencies, the board of directors, bank, auditors and public.
