Only in its second year of operation, the Eastern University Campus Chapter has grown from five to 15 members and has had great success in creative fundraising and awareness activities on campus.
The chapter held a fundraiser called “Healing a Hurting World,” in which students bought a Band-Aid for a dollar, wrote their name on it and then placed it on a map of the world to symbolize areas that are suffering and need prayer. In this fundraiser, the chapter raised over $100 in less than a week. At the conclusion of the fundraiser, they displayed the map in the main lobby of their campus to remind students of the areas they had committed to pray for.
The chapter also held a fundraiser called “EU Idol,” based on the reality show “American Idol.” By asking for donations from students who attended the show, the chapter raised $310 in just one night. This chapter is working hard with dedication and creativity to rally their campus to pay for the rescue the poor cannot afford.
