Starting an IJM Campus Chapter is easy! With even a small number of students, you can follow these steps and quickly be on the road to launching your own chapter:
- Request a Campus Chapter Toolkit. The Toolkit is your resource guide for starting an IJM Campus Chapter and includes valuable information:
a) An introduction to the work, mission and history of IJM;
b) Important information to help you develop your Campus Chapter identity, including a detailed explanation of the program;
c) Directions for structuring your chapter, including descriptions of faculty sponsor and officer roles; and
d) Some activity suggestions and tips such as ideas for fundraisers, awareness activities, prayer and Bible study meetings.
When requesting your toolkit, we can also answer any initial questions you might have and put you in contact with other students in your area. Request your toolkit by contacting Cheryl Noble (IJM Student Ministries) at

- Pray about the vision and program. Recruit a small group of students, faculty and staff members to gather together to pray about this effort and to establish the vision, focus and leadership of the chapter based on God’s leading.
- Structure the Chapter. Determine the chapter leader, leadership structure and faculty advisor.
- Register on your campus. Take the necessary steps to officially register the IJM Campus Chapter as a campus club/organization at your school.
- Complete the Chapter registration form. Available in your toolkit, this form is your official chartering document. Please fill it out and please return to IJM. This will enable our Student Ministries team to keep in touch with you and provide your chapter with new information and developments in IJM’s work and the Campus Chapter program.
