Challenging hearts and minds, Artist Partners help us face the ugliness of injustice and embrace hope and restoration through the power of storytelling. Together, IJM and its Artist Partners work to rescue the oppressed and spread the hope of justice, freedom and restoration among a generation of hearts and minds ready to act. |
International Justice Mission is proud to engage artists who use their platforms to share about the issues facing victims of abuse and oppression around the world. One of these Artist Partners is The Wrecking - an up-and-coming rock band from Portland, Maine. The band’s new album, “Abolition Strategy,” has been well-received around the country and the group has a particularly strong presence in the Northeast U.S. Many of their songs carry themes related to issues of justice, rescue and redemption.
Since early 2007, The Wrecking has partnered with IJM’s Relentless Campaign, traveling the country on the Relentless Tour and sharing the call to seek justice for those who are suffering around the world. The band has partnered with a number of IJM campus chapters to host events. If you’d like to learn more about hosting a Relentless Tour event in your city, visit The Wrecking’s Web site. The Wrecking is just one example of the artists who care about the work of justice and are using their music to advocate powerfully and passionately for the oppressed.
