Support an Internship or Fellowship
IJM raises donations to accomplish various projects and work around the world pursuant to a charter. These projects have various business costs, including the cost of staffing the projects with staff, volunteers, fellows and interns. Although IJM has a team dedicated to raising the money to cover business operations, fellows and interns serving in IJM's field offices raise the part of the cost associated with their participation in the work.
IJM is a 503(c)(3) organization, which means that qualifying donations to IJM can be tax-deductible if the proper procedures and rules are carefully followed.
Although funds given on behalf of a participant are credited to the participant's fundraising goal, donors should be aware that in accordance with IRS guidelines, tax-deductible donations are being donated to the International Justice Mission and not to the participant directly. Contributions are donated with the understanding that IJM has complete discretion and control over the use of all donated funds.

* According to IRS guidelines, tax-deductible gifts may not be restricted for the sole benefit of an individual. Although your gift will be counted toward the participant's fundraising goal, IJM must retain sole control and discretion over the use of the funds once a tax-deductible receipt is issued. The tax-deductible gift is non-refundable, even if the participant through which the gift was made becomes unable or unwilling to participate in the project.
