6 - 12 Month Field Office Internships & Fellowships

IJM fellows and interns serve the poor in the developing world and gain practical experience by working at a field office that advocates for clients in cases of sex trafficking, slavery, unprosecuted rape, illegal detention, police brutality and illegal land seizure.

Fellows and interns team with IJM field office staff in the areas of legal advocacy, aftercare coordination, office administrative support, community relations, project management and special projects. The offices range in size from approximately 15 to 40 people, allowing for ample opportunity to gain professional experience and full exposure to the frontlines of international human rights work.

Each office is directed by an IJM managing attorney experienced in human rights law, Christian leadership, and office management. While the majority of IJM field office staff are nationals of the country where the office is located, each office has staff, interns and fellows from the United States or other parts of the world.
