Student Ministries - Children

IJM believes that justice is an essential part of the Christian faith, so we are dedicated to helping younger children learn about God’s heart for justice. In order to provide resources that are age appropriate, the majority of children’s resources will focus on slavery.

Loose Change 2 Loosen Chains

Students Freeing Modern Day Slaves

“Loose Change to Loosen Chains,” or LC2LC, is a student-led campaign for elementary through college students who use special LC2LC logoed cups to collect loose change from friends and family members. IJM will use the money to rescue victims of slavery and other forms of oppression. You can even order cool LC2LC shirts to raise money and build awareness for the campaign. Everything you need to get started, from a PowerPoint presentation to fliers, posters and even a press release is available below:

What Students are Saying

“I think it’s important for kids to be involved with this campaign because there are so many children [overseas] being abused and they’re suffering right now. And I think if you get involved you can really make a difference in saving their lives and the lives of their friends [and] family.” - Cassandra Hendricks, 2005 graduate of Christian Fellowship School in Virginia

“If I were a slave then I would want someone to free me. We’re giving money so that slaves can be free.” - Jaime, student at Christian Fellowship School in Virginia
