Gary Haugen
Gary Haugen
President and CEO
Gary Haugen, President and CEO of International Justice Mission, is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Chicago Law School. Mr. Haugen worked as a trial attorney with the Police Misconduct Task Force of the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. In 1994, Mr. Haugen was seconded to the United Nations to serve as the Officer-in-Charge of the UN’s genocide investigation in Rwanda. Mr. Haugen previously worked for the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights and has published numerous popular and scholarly works on international law and human rights.

Senior Vice President,Justice Operations
Sharon Cohn Wu serves as Senior Vice President of Justice Operations for International Justice Mission and oversees IJM’s operations in Africa, Latin America, South Asia and Southeast Asia, developing intervention and investigation strategies and advocating with local and national authorities. Ms. Wu received a B.A. with Honors from University of Virginia, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School, cum laude. Prior to working at IJM, Ms. Wu was an associate with Arnold & Porter in Washington, DC, representing private and governmental entities in litigation and international trade matters. She regularly briefs government officials in the U.S. and abroad on various human rights issues and has provided interviews for The New York Times Magazine, CNN, FOX News, BBC World, “Dateline” and various other media outlets.

Vice President, Field Operations
Sean Litton serves as Vice President of Field Operations at International Justice Mission. Mr. Litton joined IJM in September 2000 after previous positions at Young Life, Christ Church in Roswell, New Mexico, and the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, DC. Prior to his current role at IJM, Mr. Litton served as the director of operations for Southeast Asia and director of the IJM office in Manila, Philippines. Presently, he directs IJM’s casework operations in Latin America, Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Mr. Litton received a B.S. in Business Administration from Miami University and a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
