“The Global Prayer Gathering was the most DEEP, AUTHENTIC AND PASSIONATE EVENT I've been to. I loved that we actually prayed. It stretched me.”

“I walked away from this weekend deeply impacted for the future. I CONNECTED TO IJM'S MISSION IN A NEW WAY and felt a part of something bigger. The weekend was uplifting, encouraging and convicting.”

“This was an incredible experience…Though I was a praying person before, I HAVE AN ENHANCED OUTLOOK and have stronger motivation to intercede on behalf of others.”

Can children come to the Global Prayer Gathering?

We will be hearing sensitive stories of abuse and injustice, so we do not recommend that you bring your children. IJM is unable to provide child care, but there will be a "cry room" available for those with babies where live Global Prayer Gathering footage will be televised.

Is there a dress code?

No. Participants wear a variety of attire on Thursday evening-from jeans to suits-and are generally more casual throughout the weekend.

I would like to volunteer. Will there be a volunteer’s discount?

We are so grateful for friends who volunteer to help, but we do not have the budget to offer discounted or free tickets. We have already underwritten a significant portion of each participant’s cost, so that you will receive the lowest cost possible.

My community will be sponsoring me to attend the Global Prayer Gathering. Will their donations be tax deductible?

The registration fee covers a portion of the cost of hosting the Global Prayer Gathering. Because this is an actual service and not a donation, gifts toward your registration are not tax-deductible.

Are meals provided?

We will provide a banquet dinner as we open on Thursday evening, but other meals will be on your own. The Gaylord National has a variety of great on-site dining options, and there are a number of easily accessible restaurants in the area.

I would like to attend, but will need an invitation for visa purposes. Can you write me a letter?

The Global Prayer Gathering email invitation should meet visa requirements. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to write individual letters.

Does IJM provide any scholarships?

Unfortunately, we do not have scholarship funding available for the Global Prayer Gathering.

I can only attend part of the weekend. Can I pay a partial registration fee?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate partial registration.

Can you reserve tickets for me and my group?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate holding spots. We expect the event to fill quickly between mid- and late February.

How late can I cancel my ticket and receive a refund?

You may cancel before March 1 and receive a full refund of the registration fee. If you are unable to attend, you can also substitute someone else to take your place.

We cannot refund tickets purchased as part of the group rate.

If I cannot attend on Thursday, will I miss a lot?

You would miss the opening main speaker session—setting up the theme for the weekend—and worship time. Much of the weekend’s content happens Friday, with two large group sessions and prayer rooms for each field office.

Though we encourage all attendees to attend the entire event, we understand that occasionally this may not be possible due to other schedule constraints, and a number of groups do join us Friday morning.

I’m a student, but also a former IJM intern. Should I register as an IJM Alumni or Student?

You may register as a Student and opt into the IJM Alumni luncheon.

How does the group discount work?

Register with a group of 10 or more to get a 10% discount on each ticket, and 1 ticket free! The group coordinator will receive a promo code for a free registration after 10 tickets have been purchased. Please note that refunds will not be given for group registrations after the discount has been applied.

Are special hotel rates available?

Yes! The Gaylord National has offered us special reduced rates for prayer gathering attendees. Click here to book your hotel room at the reduced rate. Book before March 14, 2014 to receive the discounted rate of $189.

How can I get to the hotel from the airport?

Gaylord National is just 15 minutes from Reagan National Airport (DCA) and 45 minutes from both Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI). All of these airports have shuttle and taxi services available.

Will there be parking?

The Gaylord offers parking for $24 a day, or $17 a day if you are staying at the hotel. Additional parking is available at Mariners Garage and St. George Garage for $10-12 per day; both are located about one block from the Gaylord.

Can IJM help me find a roommate?

Check out IJM’s Facebook page and find the 2014 Global Prayer Gathering under Events. You can post to this wall about your room availability or interest in rooming with fellow attendees.

I can’t attend the GPG. Will there be live streaming available online?

All worship and main speaker sessions will be available for online viewing here within 24 hours. We will not be able to broadcast time spent in our regional prayer rooms.

My church is hosting a group to watch the Global Prayer Gathering. What should I do?

You will be able to watch the sessions 24 hours after they take place, or after the weekend from the GPG Online website. Find additional resources for promoting your event here.
