Hotel Information
GPG 2012 ExperienceWe gather with a singular purpose – to engage in the work of justice through the work of prayer. Through storytelling, worship and reflection, we will celebrate God’s faithfulness throughout the past 15 years of IJM’s work…and we will ask for his continued intervention to bring rescue and restoration to those who are still being oppressed. Throughout the weekend, IJM staff from Africa, Latin America, India and Southeast Asia will share the miracles of God’s intervention and care they have seen on the frontlines. We will hear of the urgent challenges in their field offices and cities. We will pray together corporately and also have the opportunity to rotate among country rooms during breakout sessions of focused prayer for IJM needs around the world. Several survivors who have been served by IJM will share their own stories with us. We will be led in musical worship by Sara Groves, Sharon Irving and others. |

Base Camp
Thursday, April 12, 12:00 pm - 9:30 pm & Friday, April 13, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm
IJM believes that God calls his church to “seek justice, defend the oppressed, defend the orphan, and plead for the widow” in the name of Christ. Over the last decade God has clearly ignited more and more churches with passion for justice. Base Camp is your opportunity to join with IJM and other valued church partners to share stories, celebrate successes and discover what God has in store for your church. Ministry leaders from around the country and IJM staff will share practical ways for your church community to make an even greater impact in the fight against injustice. Our goal is that pastors and church leaders will leave Base Camp equipped and encouraged to lead their congregations in following God's call to justice. Visit www.IJM.org/BaseCamp for more information and to register for the event.

The GPG storyIJM first began hosting a Prayer Gathering in 2001 with the goal of simply bringing together all of our prayer partners to pray for the work. That first year, 150 people came ready to pray. Over the past ten years, IJM’s global staff has been utterly amazed and humbled to now see nearly 1,000 supporters from around the world come to join us for a weekend of focused prayer. In 2009, we began making portions of the GPG available online for those unable to join in person. This year, we look forward to live streaming large group sessions, as well as providing a forum for our prayer supporters and field staff to connect online. Each year GPG registration has reached maximum capacity faster and faster. We have been delighted to see the growing enthusiasm for doing the work of justice, through the work of prayer. |
