International Justice Mission is proud to partner with artists who use their platforms to introduce new audiences to the cause of justice for the oppressed. IJM’s Artist Partners are an informal collective of artists who bring a diverse set of talents to the fight for justice, from filmmaking to songwriting to storytelling. Musicians using their talents to spread IJM’s message range from talented singer-songwriter Sara Groves to Dove- and Grammy- award winning alternative rockers Jars of Clay.

This year, the Wrecking, an up-and-coming rock band from Portland, ME, has used its unique platform to advocate for the oppressed in a powerful way. The music on the band’s anticipated new album, “A New Abolition,” has strong themes of justice, rescue and redemption.

Since early 2007, the band has partnered with IJM’s student initiative, the Relentless Campaign, traveling the country on the Relentless Tour and sharing the call to seek justice for those who are suffering around the world. The band has partnered with a number of IJM campus chapters to host events.

The Wrecking is just one example of the artists who are powerfully and passionately bringing the message of justice to new audiences. Using their abilities to share both the urgency of the work of justice and the hope of freedom and restoration, Artist Partners are invaluable allies in IJM’s work.
