What is a Justice Campus? We invite you to become a Justice Campus by raising $1,000 or more to rescue the oppressed from violence. It is an investment that will yield high returns: an advocate showing up, a victim set free, comprehensive aftercare for rescued victims, and perpetrators held accountable for their abuse. Invest in your PassionYou select where to invest your campus’ gift and IJM will provide specific updates based on your selection. You have three choices to invest your gift: IJM will use this gift where it is most urgently needed. Invest in a specific region of the world where IJM conducts casework: Africa, Latin America, South Asia, Southeast Asia. Invest in a specific area of IJM casework, such as sex trafficking, slavery, sexual violence, or theft of land and property. Standing TogetherThe impact of your gift is magnified by the fact that you are investing with other student groups across the country. Imagine what is possible if 100 campuses throughout the country make the commitment to become a Justice Campus and raise $100,000 for the work of justice. What Does Justice Cost? Each story of freedom is a story of partnership. There are many costs required for IJM to stand up, speak up, and show up for the oppressed. Here are a few examples of what it can cost to seek justice: $500 pays for care packages for 40 children rescued from sex trafficking in Southeast Asia. $1,000 enables IJM to acquire the necessary legal documentation to assert the property rights of 5 widows and orphans in Africa. $1,250 covers the first 30 days of aftercare for a victim of abuse so they can begin their journey of healing and restoration. $2,500 enables IJM to conduct professional investigations in Latin America in order to help arrest 10 sexual predators who are abusing children. $9,000 enables IJM to conduct a baseline study in a district in South Asia to determine the extent of forced labor slavery. $18,000 covers the annual cost for a full time national lawyer who can provide advocacy for those who have no one to stand up for their basic human rights. $60,000 enables IJM to conduct 8 police training sessions in Southeast Asia to equip 100 police officers to lead successful rescue operations sensitive to the needs of victims. $132,000 covers the annual cost to provide aftercare to thousands of children and families rescued from forced labor slavery in South Asia. What you will receive?
Annual ProgramEach year, you will have a choice to continue in the Justice Campus program by raising $1,000 or more for the work of IJM. As you stand with us for another year, you will be able to choose to continue with your investment or switch to a new area of need. |
