Chong-Ae Shah
Chong-Ae Shah is the Senior Vice President of Education and Mobilization for International Justice Mission, a U.S.-based human rights organization that provides legal services in fourteen overseas offices to victims of human rights violations and works to make public justice systems accessible to the poor.
Prior to joining IJM, Ms. Shah served as Senior Vice President – Strategy, Innovation and Research, for AARP Services for several years. Before joining AARP in 2007, she worked for over 21 years at General Motors Corporation in roles of increasing responsibility, most recently serving as the Director of Buick, Pontiac and GMC Brand Development and Buick Product Development.
Ms. Shah received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin and a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from Oakland University. She is a leader in her community and has served as a mentor for many young women through her church, her previous workplaces, and for AARP Foundation's Women's Scholarship program. Currently, Ms. Shah serves as an assistant Women's Ministry director and Women's Bible Study Ministry Team co-leader at her church.
