Larry Martin

Larry Martin is the Southeast Director of Church Mobilization for International Justice Mission. Larry joined IJM in October of 2001. Prior to moving to his current position in 2011, he served IJM as the Senior Vice President of Education. He has traveled to Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe, where he has seen IJM's work firsthand and provided on-the-ground training for local church leaders. Before joining IJM, Rev. Martin served on the staff of Young Life in Northern California and Colorado for 16 years, as a Baptist pastor for eight years and as a denominational executive for four years. 

Larry Martin is the Southeast Director of Church Mobilization for International Justice Mission. IJM is a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression. IJM lawyers, investigators and aftercare professionals work with local governments to ensure victim rescue, to prosecute perpetrators and to strengthen the community and civic factors that promote functioning public justice systems. 

As Director of Church Mobilization, Rev. Martin equips congregations throughout the Southeast to engage in the Bible's call to justice. Rev. Martin joined IJM in November of 2001. Prior to moving to his current position in 2011, he served IJM as the Senior Vice President of Education. He has provided on-the-ground training for local church leaders in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Europe, equipping them to support the work of justice through their congregations. 

Before joining IJM, Rev. Martin served on the staff of Young Life in Northern California and Colorado for 16 years. Rev. Martin also served as a Baptist pastor for eight years and as a denominational executive for four years. Rev. Martin received a B.S. from Fresno State University, an M.A. from Fuller Theological Seminary, a Masters of Divinity from American Baptist Seminary of the West, and is an ordained Baptist minister. 

Rev. Martin currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife, Nan.
