The Need
IJM is seeking for a qualified Lead for Local Activation & Partnerships who will lead and facilitate the implementation of the Activation strategy in the Luzon regions. He/She will work together with relevant local and national teams to strategically achieve the purpose of activating local community (e.g. NGOs, LGUs, academe, community leaders, regional networks) and church (e.g. religious communities/networks/coalitions) to provide the support, resources and influence to strengthen the Philippine public justice system in line with IJM’s Theory of Change, primarily at the regional and local level. This person work closely with the Field Office Director and with strategic Manila heads of department to ensure that the local agents of change strengthen the justice system’s response to Online Sexual Exploitation of Children consistent with IJM’s mission and program objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with key local power actors in the community and government to create influential champions to combat Online Sexual Exploitation of Children.
- Successfully lead and implement local activation related events in partnerships with local partners.
- Successfully communicate and build significant understanding and buy-in to IJM’s Theory of Change with community power actors, local governments and strategic regional-local institutions.
- Secure tangible financial support, influential support, and advocacy leading to tangible improvements in the justice system’s response to Online Sexual Exploitation of Children in different regions in Luzon.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- At least four (4) years’ experience and proven success in external partnership development and management, local community and government mobilization.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in oral and written communication in English
- Competent English writing skills
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and compellingly to influence other leaders
- High cross-cultural competency for regional and local cultural variations and relationship building
