The Need

As IJM Cebu Field Office is in search of a strong and innovative bridge-builder who can lead the execution of activation strategies in assigned regions in Visayas and Mindanao. The position will work together with relevant local and national teams to strategically achieve the purpose of activating local community (e.g. NGOs, LGUs, academe, community leaders, regional networks) and church (e.g. religious communities/networks/coalitions) to provide the support, resources and influence to strengthen the Philippine public justice system in line with IJM’s Theory of Change, primarily at the regional and local level.

This position is based in Cebu with frequent travels within the country, primarily within Visayas and Mindanao regions.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a network of partners among key local power actors in the community and government to create influential champions to combat OSEC
  • Develop relationship and tangible partnership with existing regional and local anti-trafficking and anti-child pornography coalitions to meaningfully advance OSEC project goals and objectives
  • Secure tangible financial support, influential support, and advocacy leading to tangible improvements in the justice system’s response to OSEC in the Visayas and Mindanao
  • Perform responsibilities related to data gathering, data analysis, data entry, reports of all kinds, minutes of the meeting, and application of technical knowledge to achieve program goals, incidental to the execution of local activation strategies
  • Provide critical administrative support to activity executions of Sr. Lead of Local Activation and Partnership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • At least four (4) years’ experience and proven success in external partnership development and management, local community and government mobilization
  • Competent in MS Word: Outlook, and Power Point, and smart phone communications
  • Fluency in oral and written communication in English (fluency in oral and written Cebuano and Tagalog desirable but not required)
  • Competent English writing skills
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and compellingly to influence other leaders
