The Need

IJM is seeking a Project Coordinator to coordinate IJM’s projects in IJM’s Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of Children (the “Center”), with the objective of exposing, neutralizing, and deterring online sexual exploitation of children globally. This role is expected to contribute significantly to the Center’s objectives of (1) strengthening an effective global network of accountability (law enforcement and prosecution), (2) supporting effective justice system responses from source and demand-side countries, and (3) improving detection and reporting by technology and financial sectors.

The ideal candidate is a leader who brings significant experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, providing exceptional organization, efficiency and clarity to coordinate projects. The ideal candidate will help the Center be efficient and aligned on key existing projects, future projects, and meet project timelines and deadlines. The Project Coordinator will help the Center manage our accompaniment, consulting, activation, and educational projects with internal and external IJM stakeholders across the OSEC Hub and IJM regions to ensure IJM is the world’s leader in developing and scaling products to help drive the impact of criminal justice system response to violent crimes committed against the poor.

The Project Coordinator will assist Center project teams with coordination of meetings, information, equipment, and resources to achieve Center projects. The Project Coordinator will organize projects with the goal of getting them completed on time and within budget. This position reports to the Lead, Program Management, Center, Global OSEC Hub, Asia Pacific Region, and is based in Manila or Cebu with occasional travel within the Philippines.

Responsibilities

Communication

  • Provide regular communications to supervisor and Center staff on progress in Center project completion
  • Clearly communicate with Center staff and relevant IJM stakeholders in Hub and other Regions the status of Center projects, including updates, challenges, highlights, and next steps
  • Chair, facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to project team members

Networking & Partnership

  • Network and partner with IJM subject matter experts within the Center, OSEC Hub and other regions to identify roadblocks and solutions for Center project completion
  • Maintain collaboration with Center and relevant Hub and country program staff to deliver project completion on time, managing expectations for delays or changes in plan

Research, Program Management and M&E

  • Ensure project completion and success are documented in relevant Center and Hub M&E framework and deliverables
  • Support the development of M&E aspects of the Global OSEC Hub related to productization
  • Data analysis and related research to support the development of Center products for private and public sector

Events and Logistics

  • Coordinate with SMEs, Program Manager, Director and Program Content Writer to deliver timely products for global conferences, fora, webinars and other key projects.
  • Support as necessary the Center’s participation in external conferences, webinars and other fora.

Training and Development

  • Coordinate with the Training Coordinator as needed to ensure training projects are aligned with other Center projects and leveraged to serve larger Center objectives
  • Support Center training delivery projects for internal and external stakeholders

Documentation, Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare well-organized project plans and schedules to aid timely project completion
  • Ensure projects adhere to IJM policies and frameworks; maintain documentation appropriately for each project.

General tasks

  • Provide project administrative support as needed.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required to support project completion

Requirements

  • University degree in International Development, Public Policy, Business, Law, Economics, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or another related field
  • At least three years of experience in project coordination or a related field
  • Demonstrated success in project coordination.
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-disciplinary program teams to understand goals and activities
  • Strong computer skills, including high level knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional organizational and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to make complex technical concepts easy to understand for non-technical audiences
  • Knowledge of OSEC issues, anti-OSEC programming, NGO and government engagement in Southeast Asian countries preferred.
  • Knowledge of standards relating to professional writing, citation, grammar
