Anna Pienaar serves as the Vice President for Global Partnerships at International Justice Mission. Her team applies IJM’s global expertise combatting slavery, human trafficking, forced labor, gender-based violence and police abuse of power to build effective partnerships that result in measurable change to people suffering injustice. Anna’s team partners with church institutions, foundations, governments and corporations to develop targeted research and programming that result in justice for the poor.
Anna has fifteen years of experience in the international development space, including direct field experience in poverty alleviation; education; microfinance; and human rights programming in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She holds a MA in International Development from the University of Wales; a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Manchester MU Business School and a BA in politics and languages from the University of Manchester, UK. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and two children.
