PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – Late last week, IJM worked with police to rescue young women who were trapped in a brothel. IJM investigators discovered and documented evidence of the abuse that was occurring in the brothel, located in a popular tourist destination notorious for trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation of underage girls.

PHNOM PENH, CAMBODIA – In a landmark case that will echo throughout trafficking rings around the capital city of Cambodia, the former chief of the Phnom Penh Municipal Anti Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Police was found guilty as an accomplice to aggravated procurement of prostitution. Yesterday, he and three other perpetrators were convicted for trafficking crimes, all sentenced to at least seven years in prison.
MUMBAI, INDIA – "You have come alongside us rescued girls, and most importantly, you have helped us fulfill our dreams." The young woman who spoke confidently stood before 34 police officers in uniform. The officers were gathered for an IJM-led training on the law and procedures for cases of commercial sexual exploitation.
