IJM Thailand: European Man Convicted for Assaulting Thai Boys

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND – Late last week, a French man who had been posing as an NGO worker based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, was convicted for sexually assaulting two brothers. The man had repeatedly lured the pre-teen boys to his house to abuse them.

IJM received the referral about the abuse in 2012, and since then a staff lawyer has provided expertise and guided the case through the court system. Three different prosecutors were assigned to the case, rendering IJM attorney Rittirong Kornrittidej's consistent support all the more critical.
