The IJM Hope Bracelet is handmade by Allie+Bess. The grouping of five large white beads and five large black beads represents the 50,000 children who live in slavery in Ghana today. The white beads represent the fishing industry, and are made of the bones of fish caught in Ghana. The solid black beads are recycled and repurposed vinyl records manufactured in Ghana. Most important of all, the gold beads represent HOPE for all of these children to have a bright future.
