Donor-Advised Funds

DAFs are a fast, easy way to support rescue and restoration.

What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a simple, flexible and tax-advantageous way to make a charitable donation. DAF’s allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction and then recommend grants from the fund over time.

International Justice Mission gratefully accepts grants from DAFs in support of our mission to rescue and restore lives. We partner with some of the largest DAF sponsor organizations and their philanthropic service teams in the United States.

Clients of BNY Mellon, Fidelity Charitable and Schwab Charitable can make a designation to IJM through the DAF Direct window on this page.

IJM’s tax I.D. number: 54-1722887

Interested in learning more about establishing a DAF? You should consult your professional advisor for their guidance.

How do donor-advised funds work?

DAFs can be easily set up through your financial institution or a community foundation to serve as a flexible charitable giving vehicle. Giving through your donor-advised fund is a powerful way to help IJM. For more information on how to establish a DAF, contact your financial advisor or community foundation.

Why are donor-advised funds used?

• You can quickly put your charitable dollars into action
• You can make recurring gifts with ease
• Giving accounts have the potential to grow, possibly providing additional funding when you are ready to make a gift
• Easy to turn your portfolio into an impactful gift to save lives

Note: Individual situations vary, so donors should consult their financial advisors.
